Not too sure whether this is actually a bug or it's just my own stupidity again, so I'm posting here first.

 

I've been trying to get the Elemental Potion Manual on my creator.

Tried talking to Pisruik at job level 40, he didn't give the quest. Hm. So I went off to kill some stuff, ensured that I got to job level 41, collected all the items and went off to talk to him again.

 

...he still doesn't want give me the quest. All he does is talk about having money for medicine. =_=;

 

Can anyone help? Thanks!

err, i am sure a couple of months ago it worked just fine.
have you talked to him and agreed to help him out and bring the items that he needed?
you need to bring him the few times that he needs for continuing his research, and at the end you need to help him out after the accident, and after that from gratitude for your help and also as appreciation for recognising his work, he will share his research papers with you which is technically the elemental potion creation guide that you actually need.

I recall fixing the job checks for it some time ago so genetics can do the quest at any job level, alchemists and creator need job level 40 though. Just tested it again and it seems to be working fine. If you keep having issues, file a @request ingame and I'll catch you.

@LurchingElf - I actually made the mistake of talking to him earlier at job level 30+, and had already prepared all the items. Realised I had to be job level 40 according to the wikis/guides and went to level up again before talking to him. He just doesn't give the quest. I can't go beyond "if only I had a little more money to buy some medicine" text. Have taken a screenshot. That's all he says. Spent at least an hour trying to figure this out before I posted here earlier, and am close to ragequitting because of this. =___=; Lmao.

YES IT'S DONE I GOT THE GUIDE BOOK.
