Hello, I am not a person that complains a lot, but even so, I do not to have much time for gaming. I've read in several topics
and in game chat that there are people like myself having hard time leveling up. I do know that Eden quests for lvl 100+ help
a lot, but doing it alone has heavy time consumption and having a friend or two with yourself doing the same would be beneficial
for all. Won't it be better if there are more people banding together on quests (Eden, Prontera board, story)? Why do you have
to wait 1 year before you could get a single character to 150+ to join a party and have some fun in the game?

N.B.: I am in a guild, even if that guild is inactive at the moment, because the master has some personal stuff to take care off.

Well... I have an idea, but everybody from the server staff and members/players have to agree on. The idea is simple - give
a passive bonus to a party depending on its creator's class. please remember the auras of paladins in Warcraft and the small
insignificant bonus added to them to either defence, support or offence. So wouldn't it be good to have something like a bit
more defence, support or offence to a party? Another issue will be the size of the group:
   - party of 5 or less = no bonuss;
   - party of 5~10 = small passive (expl. 5~10 points);
   - party of 10~20 = x2 of the previous one;
   - maxed party = x3 of the first bonus.

N.B.:  I know, CMs, don't care how people play on their server, but people DO care if they have fun or not. Going solo
100% of the time, what?! I can play a normal RPG offline if I'm to be alone.

Now the question -> Is it possible to have something that is made in this way or another to promote party play early on for

people that obviously can't play more than 2~4~6 hours a day?

Thank you for reading it.  /??

While a change in mechanics definitely could help in promoting party play, I think the main problem is the players themselves. If you want to find a party when leveling then actively look for one. Now, I know that there are people looking for groups in main/prontera now and then, and sometimes they find a group and sometimes they don't. Perhaps you should try to find another guild while you are waiting for your current guild to become more active, or try to make a few friends that you can level with more than just a one time party.

The current system does already heavily enourage party play (in comparison to many other servers).

  • The experience share range has been increased from 15 to 30 levels which makes it way easier to find compatible people to level with.
  • The high damage output from mobs encourage you to play with some class that can tank.
  • The renewal experience penalty of mobs have been removes so that you can party up and kill high level mobs to gain exp.
  • Eden quests up to level 175 also enourage party play as questing in a party is pretty much the fastest way to level.
  • Each party member increases the experience you gain.
  • MvPs being buffed encourage party play, as soloing becomes much more difficult (not to mention that most buffed mvps now gives more experience)

I honestly don't think the changes you are suggesting will change things the slightest, if anything it will just make instances/end-game mvps easier.

Now, I for one enjoy playing solo and from what I've seen there seems to quite a few other people who does as well. Sure I obviously can't, and will never able to solo all the content in the game and that's exactly how it's supposed to be, but that doesn't stop me freom trying. Changing things so that partying the only viable option for playing is not the definitely not the solution.

TL;DR: The problem lies with the players, not the game mechanics.

Silphid, man, did you read it all correctly? Cause I'm covering only the base range - lvl 0 to lvl 150, not above 150+. I've never said anything

about end game gameplay.

did you read it all correctly?

Right back at you.

I explained why I think the current system works fine and why it encourages party play at all levels, not just at 150+ (It's not like something special happens once you hit level 150 anyway). You seem to have read 1/4 of what i said.

Won't it be better if there are more people banding together on quests (Eden, Prontera board, story)?

As I mentioned there are som great benefits of doing the quests in a party, but it's up to the players to choose if they want to take advantage of that or not. You can't force players to join parties if they don't want to. With a server population of about 100-175 players it's not that odd that it sometimes might be hard to find a party for the exact quests you are doing. Only a handfull of all those players will be about the same level as you (especially in the early levels when leveling is really quick), some of those players might be temporarily afk and some of them might not want to play in a party. As I said, I don't see how the changes you are suggesting is supposed to change any of this.

Why do you have to wait 1 year before you could get a single character to 150+ to join a party and have some fun in the game?

No one says you have to wait a year to become level 150+. If you play 2-4 hours a day you should reach those levels in a few weeks, partying or not. I also don't know why you are claiming that you need to be level 150+ in order to have "fun". What exactly do you expect happens when you get to 150+ that will change anything? If you are talking about doing mvps and instances then you can start doing them way earlier than 150.

Answers:

1. Yes, I may have said something out of place, but you аrе quoting the features and not the in-game reality.

2. Yes, I know this quite well.

3. Maybe I haven't said it correctly and as it happens a lot people rarely understand me or grab the information from the right angle. But

if I try/do the direct approach, it's most certainly I'll be called offensive, rude, etc. This is because most other cultures away from the Bal-

kans prefer the french way distributing the information.

If I could be allowed to paraphrase my words and take the direct aroch, it will sound like this:

As people may know certain classes, except rangers, are hard to level up without the proper gears and a lot of zenni for white HPs,

especially if you don't have a 150+ character to go on a gathering mission for these. There is yet another misbelief that with Eden

quests extended to max level it should have made it easy grinding yourself up. Most of these quests as I have seen it are difficult (monster wise)

for a single person to handle, especially if that character you play with is a 3rd job or above lvl 100 and not 150+.

On the question regarding "fun" - FUN means several things, and I am not the one that says this. For example it may be o.k. for RO

players with longer history than mine with MMOs to prefer the solo play, but for me the definition is to be able to socialise within a

game world with people no only from your own group/guild. Another great thing MMOs are famous with is the ability to meet strangers,

form a party and have an adventure of some sort (the extermination of bad mobs or somthing else).

I am well aware LeikaRAR is a new server and has a less active members as it is shown on the counter (the multi account thing), that

doesn't mean a persone has to be limited to his her own ability to cope with the environment. If party stimulation is already a feature of

this server, then could someone, not Sylphid, explain to the public why it is only written and not executed as it should be?

(the following is a new thought)More so is it a huge problem for one AB to gather several low level players within the 30 lvl difference

and help with healing while they better themselves? Explanation: the AB could be of any level, but the bulk party must be within the 30

lvls range, will this work?

I sencierly hope that people can understand it now.

Could you elaborate? I don't really understand what you're trying to propose.

hes basically saying there arent any (or barely) leveling parties on leika RO. TO change this hes is proposing to increase the experience gained while in a party to make people stick together instead of soloing it/doing it with their 150+ alts.

Hes saying on paper we are promoting partying already, but the ingame situation is teh same as before. (Everyone is soloing)

Amirite?

Grind is dead because quests give much more exp.
The bigger pt, the more time it takes to turn in all the quests and gather on the maps every 30 kills.
Pront board had/still has lot of issues that make it not worth doing in parties because you can fuck up your kill counters which means you have to start again.
Lot of places benefit from using tp greatly because rare monsters (like angra mantis and pom spider kills from pront board are much faster by just tping around), or generally few monsters compared to size of the map. For example compare Verus to Juperos.
Parties really quickly become exp sinks because the more people you have, the more exp division there is and even bonuses per members aren't capable of making up for it. The best parties when you take into consideration firepower and exp would be 2-3 chars tops. Most likely AB + AoE dmg dealer.

Really, rapid repeatable quests killed parties. Pront board was great idea with its 24h cooldown and the amount of exp it gives, it just needs increased amount of monsters to kill and fixing few broken things. Eden quests on the other hand are killing parties. It's just not worth when quest gives you even more exp than you get for soloing stuff (so no exp fucked up by pt).

The best setup would be big cooldown on all quests and those quests would have to include mainly forgotten maps (lot of eden quests do it nicely by having shit like shinobis or rafflessias) and leaving the best mobable places for parties. Preferably with disabled exp division in pt, but I know Terp will bitch about MvP exp then.

I see large eden parties for the 151+ stuff happening a lot now because of how op those areas are.

Do my writings have no sense to people, cause I try my hardest NOT to offend anybody. Now on the subject:

"Grind is dead because quests give much more exp." Yes this is correct, but with when you've said- "The bigger pt, the more time

it takes to turn in all the quests and gather on the maps every 30 kills." - looks like you are missing that people normally take same

quests before going on a hunt while in a party (Eden). "Prontera board has/still has lot of issues that make it not worth doing in

parties..." well it needs fixing + more zones, especially after level 110.

P.S.: A good thing I thought about just now - when fixed properly, the Pront. board could increase the number of mobs to kill per
5 members of a party ( expl.: 10 poporings on normal +5 per every 5 pt members).

Prontera board EXP is based on the total EXP given by the required mobs and divided by a certain amount based on the level range, I can't really increase both the mobs required and the EXP given since those quests already give a ton of it.
