Christmas Event: Secret (Poring!) Santa

 

So in honor of Christmas and the general spirit of giving and community, I'm holding an event this Christmas season! And you can (I hope) guess what that is: Secret Santa!

Step 1: Sign Up

Please send me your sign ups by PM, IRC chat, or in-game by Monday, 12/21/15 at 11:59 PM server time to participate in this event. All I need is the following info:

• Your In-Game/Character Name:
• Three Wish List Gifts:

The in-game name is the character name you want to use to participate in this event. It'll be given to the person who gets your name, so please make sure you're on that character at the time of the gift exchange!

Step 2: Get Your Name

I will send everyone a PM by Tuesday, 12/22/15 at 11:59 PM server time with their Secret Santa's name and wish list gifts.

If you get someone's name and you're not sure what to get for them and/or you're not sure if you can get anything on their wish list, please let me know as soon as you can and I'll work something out with those involved. (The same goes if you can't think of anything that you would like!)

 

EDIT: Even though the person will have 3 wish list gifts, I'm expecting for everyone to give 1 to their Secret Santa. You can give more if you like but you definitely don't have to!

Step 3: Gifts

I just want to put down just a few rules, to make sure everyone has fun for this event!

• Be reasonable for your gift requests. It's not fair to say "I want [some absurdly expensive or rare item]!" and expect to get that item from someone else. 
• You don't have to request an item for a gift. Have an instance that you've wanted to run but no one to go with? Or a leveling buddy but have had problems finding someone? Why not ask for that?
• Please make sure that what you put in your wish list is something that can be done or given in-game, just so that it's fair for everyone involved.

Step 4: Exchange!

Given that it's the holiday season and plans will be made and things, I don't want to hold everyone to a gift exchange on Christmas weekend. I also want to give people a chance to plan gifts for their Secret Santa.

Therefore, the gift exchange will be Sunday, 1/3/16 at 10:00 AM server time. If this doesn't work for you, please let me know, and I will work out a time where as many people can participate as possible.

Step 5: Bonus!

Anyone who participates in the event will get a secret Secret Santa gift from me as well! I'm not going to tell you what it is, so you'll just have to join and see for yourself! :p

TL:DR;

• Sign up by Monday, 12/21/15 at 11:59 PM server time. Send me your in-game character's name and 3 wish list gifts that you'd like. Remember: be reasonable, please.
• I will send everyone a PM by Tuesday, 12/22/15 at 11:59 PM server time with their Secret Santa's name and wish list. Please let me know if you have any problems it.
• Choose 1 wish list gift to give to your Secret Santa. You can give more if you like; I ask that you get 1.
• Gift exchange will be Sunday, 1/3/16 at 10:00 AM server time. I am completely open to moving the gift exchange time if people want to, and if anyone has suggested times.
• Bonus: Join in and get a secret Secret Santa gift from me!

I'm glad you signed up ^^ As for getting Terp into the gift exchange.... I'm not quite sure that my magical powers are that strong

Pm need to exactly on the time you mention? that time would be mid night for me.

And the about the gift can be anything in game?

The exchange time is flexible. I know that not everyone will be able to make one specific time but if we can at least agree on a time where a majority of players can get together, I can always coordinate with those who can't make it. So let me know what time would work for you and I'll see what we can do c:

As for the gifts, anything in game works but all I ask is that you be reasonable with the requests. A lot of stuff is rare or hard to come by, I know, so I can't really say "nothing with a 0.01%" or anything like that. You're also welcome to put things like "I want to run this instance" or "I want a leveling buddy" as options as well.

EDIT: I should also clarify that I hope for each person to give one gift from their secret santa's list. If you want to do more you can but I only ask for one for each person. I'll add this to the first post shortly.

I know a few people have asked for potential time changes for the exchange. Would everyone be interested in splitting the exchange into two times? I could do an early morning one, like 7 or 8 am server time and an evening one, from like 6 to 9 pm server time
