I'm not sure why no one has thought of this until now, but OMG please. Come on.

So obviously everyone sets their four rows of BM up like this:

123456789

QWERTYUIO

ASDFGHJKL

ZXCVBNM,.

Or they use the F1-9 keys because they're weird.

But like, the keys 0P;/ aren't in there, and never have been. Ever. So add them, to make LeikaRO even more unique and legitimate. Literally everyone would use them.

Now, the only argument I can think of against this idea is "there's no need." Well, let me attempt prove you wrong, hypothetical arguer that would have nothing to lose from a change like this.

I just got a Logitech G910 Orion Spark keyboard. The thing lets you set up commands. This means that with the press of a button, I can activate any keys in any order at any speed that I want (macros). So, here's my setup.

  • QWER ASDF ZXCV are main skills.
  • 12345TGB surrounds with buffs and other skills, depending on the needs.
  • 6YHN separates with items; 6 and Y being HP and SP items so that I can activate them with my macros both on the keyboard and on my G700s mouse, because that's freaking smart.

This means that I have 7UJM 8IK, 9OL. are left for equipment. One set of my macro keys activates these in three groups of four (1x1). The other set activates these in two groups of six (2x3). With this setup, I can restore HP, SP, Gear Swap, and use Skills simultaneously, without ever having to lift my left palm.

However, there's two problems:

  1. Not enough space for more items (possibly skills/other buffs).
  2. Not enough space to fully swap out eight pieces of gear (arguably, I'd even want ten, but that much is most likely unimportant). Anyone who's seriously played Mechanic knows how much gear you need to swap out, depending on what you're doing.

So like... 0P;/ are just sitting there. They don't do anything, and they so should. I demand better of them, dammit. One more column of keys means four sets of four gear pieces (either 1x4 or 2x2), two sets of eight pieces (2x4), or another set of either items or skills in my left hand.

Hell, I'll make the little skin BMP thing for it if you don't want to waste time on it. You literally just copy one box over.

Further reason to do it: Some players like to put their pinky on the F key and their index finger on the J key (I used to do that myself). By adding the 0P;/ keys to Battlemode, you effectively make the entire thing symmetrical. Your pinky can travel three keys to the left, and your index finger can travel three keys to the right. Makes it more enjoyable.

Please.

Please.

Thank.

Tinkering with the client in such a way isn't possible, else it would have been done a long time ago.

What we have to help with this issue is the @isc command, which allows you to use consumable items without having to put them on bars, using the ALT+ shortcuts instead.
