Loot protection not working

When loot drops on the ground, whether you forgot autoloot, or the thing died offscreen, there is no protection on it to prevent it from being picked up by other people. Latest situation was with Fallen Bishop Hibram. Another ranger killed it off screen and I was awarded MVP. He was able to pick up the loot that dropped on the ground before I could get there. I've only noticed this with MVPs seeing as nobody really competes for drops on regular monsters.

If someone else has done damage to the mvp/monster there is less loot protection duration afaik.
Been able to pick stuff up when someone else got the MVP before.
