Loot protection not working

Posted by FlashCombo on 25 January 2015 - 11:37 AM

So you guys invented the glorious idea of having loot dropped on the ground if you are not on-screen on death of the monster.

The intention here was to "punish" people that "abuse" a skill from mechanic that adds burning to monsters, or Poison killing. Aka to solve "cheesing". The problem here is the Loot is still supposed ot have loot protection/priority if you are the person who got the MVP/Kill/did the most damage. Right now this is not working and any novice and their mother can pick up immediatly after it dropped, making this system way more abuseable than necessary.

Dodging strong aoes of monsters sadly require you to use a skilled fly wing or snap, or other method of getting outta the screen/range of the monster and if other people are hammering on a MVP, sadly this leaves a high chance of you not getting your deserved loot.

Not only that. While it "fixes" Status Effect killing, it doesnt necessary affect other players.

Example: Person 1 uses Leech End on Monster A and fly wings away. Person 1 is now somewhere random placed on the map and Monster A is bleeding to death. Now Person 2 is killing that monster with an actual skill that deals damage. Person 2 will get the loot priority, even tho the monster was nearly dead. Why? Because Burning, Poison, etc Status Effect does not count as player damage, does not reward EXP or Loot priority. Therefore it does not affect any other players who are "legitmitely (With all their rangers)" killing monsters in XY Map.

Fix Loot protection or rework the system.
