Solar Sword & HP drain Effects

Posted by Salad on 07 April 2015 - 01:21 AM

Solar Sword has the same script as Hunter Fly card and other similar effects:

Solar Sword: bonus2 bHPDrainRate,1000,1;
Hunter Fly Card: bonus2 bHpDrainRate,30,15;

Hunter Fly Card and similar effects stack additively on both chance and effect, but they are not stacking with Solar Sword when dual wielding. After looking it up further,
http://forums.irowik...ead.php?t=62818
It used to but at some point was changed without any explanation. Given the amount of silly un-equip bugs on official regarding infinitely stacking effects or removal of negative effects, it's likely this change was made at some point to stop infinitely stacking HP drain effects of some sort. Whatever the change is, it's kind of made the Solar Sword completely worthless. Apparently back in the day iRO assassins would use a Solar Sword + Hunter Fly dual wield combo to regen (http://forums.irowik...ead.php?t=14071). It would be awesome if this could be looked into.

I just tested this and it's working fine.

Solar sword always works in both main and offhand, two of them work twice for 2% hp regained, combining it with hunter flies works as well, sword always procs and the cards procs with their normal chance.

It seems Solar Sword used to stack with Hunter Flies additively to be 112% chance of 61% heal. It's worked both ways officially so it really is up to your discretion as to how it should work here. Personally I really wanted to see Cross Impact with them stacking together, especially as other classes have AoEs that take advantage of Hunter Fly effect in more ridiculous ways, heh.

This would require source code modifications and doesn't seem important plus it's working as itnended so it's staying this way.
