Shouldn't we like.. wait for now..? There must be more things to be done and maybe changes that plenty would want to discuss.. 

 

Though it would be nice to know when it actually opens.. I heard it would be a month after the week before, but I am not sure..

Can't really give you a date.

I can tell you that Rebellion will be released whithin the next 7-10 days witl full working skills with animations, and many other fixes are on the way (Next maintenance changelog will be Huuuuuuge~)

i dont see any major bugs atm maybe in official launch i will. but thats what maintenance are for. and change log. :rolleyes:

If I would to "release" the server now there wouldn't be any difference from any other server around.

Nowdays anyone is capable to download Hercules or rAthena, change a few setting, grab some scripts here and there and claim to have a full working renewal server.

I'd like not to do that.

Rather spend 2-3-6 months fixing things and getting 'em to work for good, than stick with current rA/Herc status.

Obviously everyone wants to be out of beta already but you're the only scrub who does not understand why we're still in beta. Clearly, everyone is testing shit and reporting bugs. Just stop being bad. I look forward to wrecking your anus once beta is over.

I agree with Rikter on this one. rA (or eAthena) made so many revisions without critical changes whereas Hercules attempted to rush as much as possible to official servers whilst overlooking critical exploits.

Private RO servers could only have small population because of various factors:
1) Preference of class balance. Yeah there are some people who prefer a server to not have 3rd class. Some may even resort to adding custom skills.
2) Is it official enough? We came here to play RO.
3) Rates. What can I say... one that doesn't require difficult leveling or farming. Beware of high rates, it may give cause imbalance by letting the server spoon everyone. Officially, RO farming is hell. The best classes still require mats rather than the conventional SP/HP recovery items. We don't want everyone to be overgeared in less than a month, right? Yet everybody has raised the new leveling bar to 175/60. Officials made it a force grind session but we're not gonna head that extreme path.
4) PVP and competition. Competition in being the very best... to catch them is my real test, to train them is my cau... WTF was I saying? You competitively farm for gears and mats for mainly PVP. Ofc a good server would hand out fair rewards with a decent PVP system. The only ones we know are WoE and BG systems.

Everyone knows a PVP 1v1 tournament sucks because it never favours support or healing classes. Sure we might make custom rules to limit recovery but remember that other mats are spammed in PVP now.

Is there such a PVP event where healing classes become a critical factor in winning? Answer: Yes, I already suggested it somewhere.

Let's use the real term for "bugs". Bad coding. Server owners are at fault for taking the generic rA or Hercules package and not doing much to improve on their flaws.
