Hey. It's been a week since i joined the server and so far is been a great experience.

But only one issue i have found so far. The lack of comunication of people. That's not a problem from the server, is from the people but yesterday i found that the #main/trade/recruit chat come disabled by default and people don't notice what going on or what do.

Well maybe enabling them at the start would be a idea but also, why not create a "Looking For Group" area or board (not like that outdate booking feature that i see working only years ago), where people could find party's and such.

For a MMORPG i found out a lot of people saying "c'mon just leech yourself with a Ranger" and that's not the fun of a mmorpg, maybe a tiny little bit more incentive for partying should change that.

Well that's my suggestion. Thanks for taking your time to read it /no1.

actually, a working "party booking" feature exists but hardly anyone knows about its existence. can be accessed below your character's HP and SP window.

I heard about it and I tired to search for party using that function for a few times, never find anything so I gave up at the end. Also the map list is not complete, a lot of the new maps like Mora/ Manuk etc. are not included. Would be nice if you can add a title to that like a chat room as well, like "eden board 91-100" or "bifrost field mission" so people can put more specific information. Right now don't see any good reason to use it, it is better join a good guild to know a few more friends to lv with.

Looking for a more social approach using the @channels seems like a good option for looking for parties too. I went online and checked the list of users on "#main" and apparently it isn't enabled by default (or way too many people disabled it manually). I think it can be highly beneficial for the social aspect of the game to enable this channel by default, same with the trade channel.

Having the #main and #trade channel by default can help newer players to know the people on the server, and seeing an active community does help with decisions, not to mention it's way easier to know people this way, so users can find guilds, join parties or simply socialize in-game since a lot of people don't visit the forums (and it's a more immediate medium). If people get bothered by the chatter on some of those channels they can just turn them off, would be nice to have the option to keep them off until joined again if possible for people that don't want to ever read the #main or #trade chats.

It's an idea though, but I think it would be a good incentive for collaboration.

Since #main was mentioned here, I'd love to have a #main to be activated on the server. The chat logs look so dull without it. :D To avoid future drama/trash talking/spamming, you can put cool down on #main.

Main on default is good thing if you won't prevent us from turning it off on login in kafra options. I don't think there's need for more channels than #main, #map and #trade though.

Anyway, main things that kill partying outside guilds are repeatable quest boards and dungeon warper/healer. It makes it too easy to just solo stuff and every time you die just click healer and come back to lvling place. On every outdated server with no eden boards for 100+ lvl there're parties. To balance things out you need to either make boards require you to kill stuff that is rare on map or stuff on maps where you can't mob a lot while leaving mobby places for parties, or you give some bonuses that promote actually staying on the map for extended period of time. Something like exp increasing the more you spend time on the map without leaving. I wouldn't lower amount of exp per repeatable quest because it allows soloing for all those 'sasuke lone wolfs' thus supports more players, and around 160-170 lvl it gives just 1-4% anyay.
The key is to remove such huge exp/time gap between grind and board quests.

Still I'd like the party system I suggested long time ago but I guess with MvPs giving so much exp I can't hope for it. Worked nice back on the other server but that server was had like x3 rates and no dungeon warper, nor eden boards, even the basic ones iirc.

I already find that just killing mobs does give you a reasonable amount of exp (up to level 110-115 at least) and boards don't give you quite as much as I'm used to, after tRO's out of proportion quest exp bonus. I suppose this difference could be reduced even more, but we don't want to make boards redundant.

I assume the staff have already considered party exp bonus but for whatever reason, abusability or something, they didn't go with it?

I mean the same bonus that the [server that shall not be named] had.

You mean the slight increase in total exp when somebody tags it right? That's always been there since pre-re.

I think quests that require parties may also be a good idea, I haven't had any experience with those though.

I would add that the way the system currently is is pretty good in my opinion. I find there is even already incentive to party in order to hunt at slightly harder places, and it gives you benefits in exp. I guess that just means I disagree with the OP.

Well yeah, actually enforcing parties may not always be a good idea, specially for hunting quests. I haven't yet gotten to high levels to see if the quests does limit people, but I don't think so.

However I stand by my idea that the #main chat is quite useful for collaboration and getting to know people, thus making parties easier, but gladly my idea has already been listened. I think I'm going in circles, I shall not comment more :P.

I don't know about you guys but most of my leveling until 145 was in a random party of people I met along the way.
