Can port forwarding help, and if so, which ports should be forwarded for the game?

Edit: Never mind, turns out port forwarding does nothing for the game.

Doesnt help at all. If you were hosting, then yes :p

The only thing blocking your connection or messing it up, is probably your firewall

What do you need port forwarding for? I might help if you have the same problem I have. And server most likely runs on port 6900.

When I looked at netstat yesterday the client was connected to port 443 (https) and the day before it was connected to 80 (http). Kinda confusing...

Probably the patcher rather than the game server.

If it was 443 or 80 then I wouldn't need to use VPN to play.

Not the patcher.

Just figured out that I was reading Windows' netstat output the wrong way the whole time... Ugh, Windows is stupid!!

Port is apparently 5121.
