When I started to play here (almost 1 month?) my game was fully updated. 

 

Now I got some unknown items on my hands and was instructed to update my game again. But when i try it, i get this message "Failed to retrieve patch_allow.txt", either on Update-Ragnarok or Update-Renewal. 

Yes I'm executing as a administrator :P

You gotta keep trying until it works, just close the patcher and run it again, it will go through eventually.

I tried exactly 15x times each executable, it does not appear that this is going solve my problem   
I'm going to sleep now, I'll try a few more times when I wake up, if it fails I'll cry a little more here, thx for the fast support anyway

Another option is doing a fresh install with latest kRO client, you can get it there:

Either way, unknown item thing isn't related to kRO updates but our own files, so unless you're crashing due to missing resources, don't update kRO and save yourself potential headaches (like Prontera crash thing).

Well i'm not crashing at all, but i got a pancake hat on a event, and the item its a unknown item for me so i can't use it, and I still can see the GM using it without problems.

We will do a maint before next WoE that's going to include fixes for those new hats, it's just description anyway, you can use it without issues.
