I am new, I can't believe I spent 4 hours to finally to conclude that your patch is messed up.

 

How about you create a new character and try it yourself ... you cross the bridge->NPC girl->start game asap and once you arrive in the shop, talk to the NPC at left. 100% crash will all client.

Which NPC exactly, the Card Master?

Is that a missing resource error or something else?

Hi,

Before it was a missing palette, then I updated_re.exe , and now the game fully crash at 1% without further notice.

I had another friend joining the server about 3 hours ago and he's been playin in-game with no crashing problems. I wonder if this is a client problem or may be if you're having difficulty understanding/figuring out how to get the client working.

Can you give more details? Screenshots of the "issue" would be very helpful.

Are you using a fresh install or lite client on top of an old one containing files from some other server? A fresh install is recommended.

Are both LeikaRO and LeikaRO Patcher exes set to Windows XP compatibility and run as admin? Adding firewall exception and removing read only from the folder may help on Windows 8+.

Did LeikaRO Patcher apply updates properly or it fails to connect/save resources? If it didn't and it isn't a connection issue, delete leika.dat to force a full repatch, make sure game isn't running.

I downloaded from the website of leikaRO

I did all the patches and the comptability XP ( stop acting like a help desk )

 

I am not the only one in my case , I ran ton of clients for other servers and that's kind of things isn't happening since years ago.

What patcher are you using ? 

 

How about you tried yourself , full download + upate to see what I am saying, create a new char , talk to the NPC on the left of the room when you arrive as a newbie and didn't accept the tutorial.

Tried with the Full Client + Lite Patcher .. even worst.

If more people experienced this issue, there would be more threads about it and so far, you're the only one.
This is an isolate case and we need to pinpoint the cause. I'm not acting like a "help desk", I'm trying to help you, but if you just want to toss blame, there's not much that can be done.

We're using Thor Patcher and I just did what you mentioned and had no issues.

I'll be packing a new client regardless since there are many patches and it's about time.

I am keep investigating BTW

LeikaRO is run under sakray ??? ( You are going to have a LOT of errors from Gravity Korea if that's the case )

There are 3 patchers:

LeikaRO Patcher, this is our own patcher (Thor), patching our own files. All the necessary files that aren't present in the default kRO client are patched through this.

Update-Ragnarok and Update-Renewal, those are custom patchers that simply pull kRO updates since default patchers won't work unless you launch kRO client through their website. This is for your base kRO, note that those patchers aren't perfect and it may take a bunch of tries until request goes through, if you want a fully updated kRO client from the go, get it here.

From the log you provided it seems like it's failing to get pretty old updates, try a bunch of times, closing and reopening those kRO patchers if they fail to retrieve files until it works, otherwise get latest client from the URL above.

At a point the LeikaRo patcher remain blocked , I checked on the FAQ and I am not seeing anything for that issue.

 

It is blocked on the "saving Ressource..."

This can be due to:

Having the game open, resources need to be saved into grf files and that can't be done while those are in use.

Folder permissions and such blocking modifications, this might be an issue on Windows 8+, remove read-only from the folder and check access permissions.

Game being installed inside program files folder.

Ok find out the problem indeed the directory was on write only and mostly the .txt couldn't be overwritten.
