I'm not sure if this is actually a bug, or if the skill description is just wrong (and lacking some information), but Makibishi doesn't seem to produce as many spikes as it should. Also, each use consumes 3 Makibishi catalyst, regardless of the skill level, contrary to the iRO Wiki formula of (2+1*Skill Lv.) Makibishi (but in agreement with the RMS skill description).
The in-game skill description is quite vague, as it only lists a corresponding number to each skill level (3-7, respectively) without noting whether that's how many of them will be used, how many will be thrown to the ground, or both.
I did a couple of tests, and the following is an array of the results:
With such little data, it's hard to determine whether this accurate, but this appears to be what each level currently does:
Level 1 = 2-3 spikes
Level 2 = 2-4 spikes
Level 3 = 3-5 spikes
Level 4 = 3-5 spikes
Level 5 = 4-6 spikes
