Will they be tradeable? I was thinking it'd be a good way to get people to participate in the dailies. This way you can sell the coins you get every day instead of guessing on which gear will sell best and trying to vend it, it also makes things easier for newbies, as they can sell off their coins and get some quick cash.

That was my idea as well, you already can them "trade" them by turning in AB rings anyway.

Mmhm. The buying party needs at least 10 Mora Coins to talk to the Keeper of Secrets, though.

I've never seen much of a problem as you can trade them with players 10 at a time by buying their desired gear, with the exception of things like AB gears which only have a 50% chance of being the gear you wanted.
