Undecided if I want to begin the quest of playing RO again, after having left 6 years ago. However, may play again for idol times of fun. 

 

As a college student, pursuing a Computer Programming degree, I have scripting knowledge, and past sprite editing knowledge. I have toyed at making maps in the past--and have decided to leave it to the pro's. 

 

I am an experienced Ragnarok Online gamer, dating before the third classes release, however new to this server. 

My goals for joining this server: When I have downtime, from class, homework, or work itself, I will try to play. 

 

Favorite Class to play: Assassin Cross [Female]

Favorite Class Looks: Creator [Male]

 

I am a female in real life, however will mostly play as a Male Account.

So I have decided to download the server and give it a shot. I will also be screening to see if this is a safe place where my boyfriend could play.

Going to be honest I have not played this low of rates in about 10 years, so likely going to ask questions.

However I find it mildly interesting, this person "EbolaChan" messaged me and a friend here on here telling us to stay away from the server.

My area of expertise is in Archbishops, but, I have a decent general knowledge of the game. By all means, don't hesitate to ask if you need something.

A pleasure to meet you as well Maycha! ArchBishops and Priests in general have always been a weak point. Do you use them more for healing and support, or have you mastered the WoE/Battle Bishops? Which of the three breeds do you regularly use? And how effective have they become here on this server?

In my opinion, Archbishops are one of the strongest classes around. They've got new Holy magical attacks, as well as AoE buffs and heals. The addition of Adoramus makes them very powerful in PvM, and from what I've heard, PvP as well.

 

I'm a solo Archbishop, myself. I rely on a combination of Adoramus (1500% Holy MATK), and the Judgement Set (200% Adoramus Damage) to decimate monsters. When I'm sufficiently strengthened, I can take on most MVPs solo.

On the low-end, my Adoramus was doing about 130,000 damage to Wounded Morroc. On the high-end, it was 150,000.

 

One of the GMs is partial to Archbishops, so she has ensured that they're optimized properly, and everything is working smoothly. They're excellent on any server, but especially so here!

Good to know definately, and awesome screenshot! :] I shall keep that in mind should I need to create one. However, you mention one of the staff does favor to this class, does this mean the class is more 'loved' than others? Some of the Mechanic glitches I have seen in another server --would those same glitches be found here? Or does the server have more than one coder for bug fixes?

Nope! They spent quite a bit of time balancing the game, and fixing problems that have been around since the beginning of Renewal. Rangers were dominating RO for quite a while there, so effort was put into making the other classes more viable. I've yet to hear any problems with Mechanics, myself. I just mentioned the Archbishop thing because I'm totally biased, and that's the one that's applicable for me.

 

We have two developers, Rikter, and Terpsichore. I've had more contact with Terpsichore than Rikter, but they're both very knowledgeable about the game, and know what they're doing.
