IF it only happened recently id check what you changed recently. heck it could even be a virus.

Also note that new Renewal clients are shit ass optimized and will sap everything out of your CPU and (probably) GPU aswell. What you can try is to install another private server that is running on pre-renewal with a pre-renewal client and see if it crashes/Turns off. If it still does. It must be something driver related, since other games dont crash it seems unlikely to be hardware.

Ok... Ragnarok Non renewal didn't crashed/turned off my pc.. So... Ideas?

One idea that comes to mind is registry. When you install RO it writes some stuff to registry I believe, that's why when you install a separate servers client, it remembers your username from the different one. Perhaps this is separate for renewal servers and non-renewal servers. I could be wrong about this though maybe the username is stored somewhere else like users folder.

I wouldn't know exactly how to solve this and remove RO registry stuff, and also this is just a thought, it's quite unlikely I think. But if you know how to, maybe look into it.

How many drives does your PC have? If you have more than 1 have you tried installing on different drives?

Finally, the thing which probably has the best chance is reformatting your windows drive and reinstalling windows, backing up everything before. I find reformatting solves pretty much any software or virus issue. Really annoying task though. Especially if you don't have a separate drive to back up your stuff first.

If only the renewal clients kill his pc id say its an overheating issue or bad hardware issue. But im no expert.

I reformated 3 times  just to test LeikaRo. Hahah (windows 7, 8 and 7 again.) So... i don't think that the registry is the problem.

did you prevent your pc to autoreboot & do you get blue screens? I

imo try discerning if it's a software or hardware problem, for example try to remove some components from your computer (1 bar of ram, sound card, ...) and see if it happens again/when you plug smthing.

I'm at a loss then. Reformatting doesn't get rid of the issue and it still breaks? That makes it seem like hardware or heat problem like the other guy said.

And then the fact that battlefield runs fine, and that most likely uses more cpu and gpu power. Have you been monitoring all of your resources? cpu load, gpu load, ram usage, etc? Speccy is what I use. Compare all of these usages between RO and battlefield or heavier games if you haven't already, including load, temp and ram usage. Also if you suspect your drive, CrystalDiskInfo will thoroughly analyse it's health status. I doubt it is that though.

I've seen ram fault before, normally that results in the computer and screen completely freezing, but that's only from my experience. If you have several sticks of ram try removing one at a time before booting your computer back up like Charmy said.

Idk if it's reeeeally ok now, but... i've installed 2 or 3 drivers and played for +-3 hours without crashes. Gonna keep testing. (Wtf? Drivers?)

Thx for the help, Bros.

(And if it crashes again... I'll be back!!)

I really wish that I had an answer for you, but I'm at a complete loss after all the ideas everyone else has had. :/ Have you played any other servers that use Hercules?

Damn sorry about that. Might want to do the ram test. It's not very nice having to open up your pc sometimes but I'm lost for ideas, except the ones above.
