Hello. This is my 3rd renewal server and I noticed that the ATK SPD formula here is different, better actually.

On those previous servers, they run on kRO mechanics, I think. My ATK SPD is really low even at 130 AGI but in this server I just made a blacksmith (my first character) and at only about 70 AGI + Adrenaline Rush + Awakening potion I reached 180 ATK SPD no problem and I'm using a two-handed axe by the way.

So my question is, is this server running on a different mechanics like, iRO, jRO, bRO etc etc?  /hmm

Were running some weird ASPD formula thats completely screwed xD

DEX barely affects ASPD, in some case (1->130 dex) it doesnt affect your attack speed at all. In some cases you will have the same ASPD with a weapon or without one. AGI affects ASPD way to much for some classes, so eh, id say a custom formula?

Ofc. Even in official formula dex affects aspd pretty poorly

Base ASPD = [ 200 − { 200 − ( Job Base ASPD + Shield PenaltyASPD Correction + √[AGI × 9.999 + DEX × 0.19212 ] × Aspd Penalty ) } × { 1 − Potion ASPD ModSkill ASPD Mod } ]

http://irowiki.org/wiki/Aspd
Just look at the numbers. Agi effect is multiplied by 9,999 while dex effect is multiplied by just 0,19212.

It's custom? I like it, though.

I also noticed the monsters here hit harder using their magic attacks. I was killing Evil Druids and I didn't bother dodging its Heaven's Drive cause I knew it wouldn't kill me but it dealt about 470 x 5 damage to me and I died.  /heh

But I remember on my previous renewal server, those Evil Druids don't hit that hard at all, about 30-50 per hit with their Heaven's Drive. So maybe they got it right here.. or wrong.

So far aspd has been very similar to cookieRO's, but I've only ever tested with a mid level character. Although one thing I'll correct you on is that weapons definitely affect aspd pretty much as expected. I've tested unarmed, swords, axes, daggers, wands, maces and katars. As far as I can tell it all works as intended.

Opinions on this will vary, but overall there is a good reason for this aspd system as it gives GX's more potential which they have always needed. In kRO mechanics rangers can reach 193 much easier than other classes and we know how OP they are. This change in aspd gives GX's much more love than rangers who are already at the cap.
