Play dead puts the user into a "dead" state, in which all monsters will not be aggressive and players in [[PvP]] environments are unable to do damage. The user is unable to move or attack while in this state. There is no time limit for the duration in which a character plays dead.

Overview

Play Dead allows the user to fake being dead, dropping to the ground. While playing dead, the user cannot move or attack. There is no duration for this skill. Monsters will be unable to detect the user (including MVPs and will not be aggressive toward the user.

In PvP environments, players cannot damage another player who is Playing Dead, but some skills can disrupt Play Dead, such as a Sage's Dispell or a Swordsman's Provoke. The only skill that can damage (and kill) a player who is Playing Dead is the Minstrel's Tarot Card of Fate.

Some Status Effects such as Wide Bleeding Bleeding, and status-inducing skills such as Hammer Fall and Venom Dust, will also affect players in the Play Dead state. The Bleeding status will cancel Play Dead upon every instance of HP drain.
