Description
Using a Shield, the caster deals 5 attacks in a strike against a single foe. There is a constant +20 HIT bonus at all levels when using this skill. Final damage will include subtraction from enemy DEF as well. SP taken increases with higher level use of this skill.

- Requires a Shield to be used.
- If you miss, you will dealing the shield refine rate damage to the enemy(similar to Lord Knight Clashing Spiral).
- At level 5 the damage is 5 * 250%.
- The attack is a ranged, ALWAYS neutral attack. GR and Deviling reduces the damage considerably.
- It can miss depending on the caster's HIT.
- Ignores Size Penalty.
- Does not ignore DEF.
- Using Provoke against enemies with strong defense can significantly boost damage.
- Cast Time is interruptable.
- Shield's weight and refine rate affect the damage, so Cross Shield and Strong Shield is the best choice for attack.
- ONLY stat-derived ATK contributes to damage. STR greatly affects damage; DEX and LUK have a minor effect.

Any other ATK - weapon ATK, weapon refinement, ATK-increasing cards or items - have NO effect on the damage. - The attack bonus gained from Provoke or Berserk affect the damage, since stat-derived ATK is affect by provocation.
- Weapon % cards affect the damage.
For the maximum effectiveness, it is advised to use 4 slotted one hand weapons. - Ice Pick does not work in conjunction with this skill.
- The damage is blocked by Pneuma, Basilica, Flip Tatami entirely.
- The damage is reduced by Assumptio, Energy Coat, Kyrie Eleison and Defending Aura.
- Reduction gears like Cranial, Poo and Immune are not ignored, but Immune can be bypassed by elemental endows.
- Being Cursed does not lower the caster's damage with this skill.
- Status weapons work in conjunction with this skill. But despite it hitting five times, the effects proc only once.
- Lex Aeterna doubles the damage of all five hits.
- Weapon ATK and Weapon refinement affect the damage .
- Can use elemental property to dealing extra damage, but its forced to Neutral. Thats means ghost property still reduces the damage.
Strategies
In PvP situations you can use Shield Boomerang with Marina or Stormy Knight carded weapons to freeze your enemies and then use Shield Chain. It can be used on GR users, but does not work with Deviling card users. Shrink can also be very useful when using Rapid Smiting.
