Pneuma is a 1st class supportive skill available as Acolyte and Super Novice.

Effect

Creates a barrier on the ground that will protect everyone in a 3x3 cell area from Ranged physical damage, which includes projectiles from players.


Notes

  • This skill cannot be placed if affected cells would overlap.
  • Every offensive skill by Monsters with a range of 4 or more cells counts as being Ranged. Attacks from below 4 cells from Monsters will count as Melee, regardless of the skill being innately ranged or not. The only exception is Spiral Pierce.
  • This skill cannot be cast on an instance of Magnetic Earth or Safety Wall. Likewise, Safety Wall cannot be cast on an instance of this skill. This can be used offensively to stop an opponent's Safety Wall or vice versa.
  • Pneuma blocks all effects of Ranged Physical attacks including innate effects such as knockback and status effects. There are rare exceptions such as Knight's Charge Attack due to the mechanics of the skill.

Applications

  • There is a slight delay when refreshing a Pneuma in the same cell as it goes down, so it is safer to place 2 Pneumas side-by-side and shift when the time is up. The only delay is in the animation, therefore many Pneumas can be placed to protect many people at once. In a party, remember to place Pneuma on oneself before doing so.
  • This skill will affect players even in non-PvP enabled maps, and thus care must be taken for party coordination or to avoid griefing.
  • It is possible to safely cover an area with multiple Pneumas if placed carefully due to the 3x3 area.
