Skill and Mechanic Changes

Classes

Some classes skills have been changed here on LeikaRO. All buffs, nerfs, and changes will be listed underneath. Fixes will not be listed. If no change is listed then the skill should be assumed to be working as intended. Inquire and give your suggestions about changes on the forum and IRC.

All

  • Variable cast times of most first and second job skills were drastically reduced and fixed cast time portions either removed entirely or greatly reduced to represent their usage pre-Renewal. This does not include signature powerhouse skills like Acid Demonstration or Asura Strike and certain combat support skills.
  • Full Throttle cannot be dispelled, increases Movement Speed by a correct amount, and the rebound stat is signaled by an emotion
  • Crystallization status now fails to apply entirely on targets with 0 SP or below 2% of Max HP instead of ticking once
  • Increased HP/SP growth formulas to be more accurate

Arch Bishop

Geneticist

  • Cart Cannon had its official element stacking bug (Holy Cannon Ball plus Aspersio or Dark Cannon Ball plus Cursed Water) fixed. Using Soul Cannon Ball fully converts the Weapon ATK portion to Ghost property damage.
  • Pharmacy grants transcendent Genetics the same success chance as a Job Level 70 Creator would have.
  • Twilight Alchemy can now be used to brew Condensed Blue Potions. You may also choose which set of items to make by having only the required materials in the inventory. The skill no longer consumes Medicine Bowls upon a failure due to the lack of materials. No longer requires various Jobs in party, just Soul Link.
  • Special Pharmacy can now be used to brew the unimplemented potions: Mana Plus, Full Swing, Falmons and Muramura.
  • Acid Demonstration had its formula corrected and interaction with Demi-human reductions normalized
  • Blood Sucker has status icon.
  • Spore Explosion has status icon.
  • Smoke Powder has status icon.
  • Tear Gas has status icon.
  • Fire Expansion (Lv2) has visual animation.
  • Mandragora Howling was corrected to longer reapply or drain SP while the status is already active
  • Painkiller's Endure effect now correctly cancels after the hit limit has been reached
  • Hell Plant now stuns properly
  • Homunculus Changes

Guillotine Cross

  • Removed Create Deadly Poison's after cast delay.
  • Dark Claw's debuff changed to +50% damage received for 15 seconds
  • Leech End poison changed to no longer hitlock.
  • Hallucination Walk now reduces magical damage taken by 50% when used against monsters instead of granting a chance to avoid spells.
  • Counter Slash had its area increased to 5x5.
  • Soul Breaker had its formula adjusted again, interaction with Demi-human reductions normalized and is now fully boosted by Lex Aeterna
  • Venom Dust's splash area is now 5x5

Kagerou & Oboro

  • Can now reach level 175/60, including custom Job Level stat bonuses and ability to raise a stat to 130
  • Can wear all Transcendent-only gear and Temporal Boots
  • North Wind had its damage formula corrected
  • Makibishi now correctly deals reduction and defense ignoring damage

Mechanic

  • Madogear License is now an Active skill and can be used to mount your Mado anywhere except PvP/WoE/BG maps at the cost of 20 Mado Gear Fuel, 5 min cooldown.
  • Magnetic Field now works when the caster is under Hovering status.
  • Hovering only avoids "ground" based effect such as trap and skills coming from the ground, not those falling from the sky.
  • Arm Cannon had its official element stacking bug (Holy Cannon Ball plus Aspersio or Dark Cannon Ball plus Cursed Water) fixed. Using Soul Cannon Ball fully converts the Weapon ATK portion to Ghost property damage.
  • FAWs were improved to have good stats and be unable to be attacked by self or allies and use better skills.
  • Weapon Refine renamed to Equipment Refine, now works with armor as well and refine level goes up to +20 (using Bradium and Carnium past +10). Same success chance as Job Level 70 Whitesmith for transcendent Mechanics.
  • Equipment Refine now grants ranking points for armor refines
  • Self Destruction had its cast time corrected
  • Mounting Mado Gear now correctly removes all Movement Speed increasing effects and prevents their reapplication, with the exception of Speed Potion

Minstrel & Wanderer

Ranger

  • All Hunter and Ranger traps have had their HP increased by 400%.
  • Magenta Trap, Cobalt Trap, Maize Trap, and Verdure Trap have had their catalyst requirements changed to 1 colored Point from 1 Elemental Ore.
  • Camouflage currently has a 2 second cooldown upon leaving the status as a temporary exploit workaround.
  • Falcon Mastery is now an active skill that lets you summon your Falcon, just like Warg Mastery. This requires Falcon Flute.
  • Warg Bite has a visual indication upon success and a status icon.
  • Arrow Shower now has a 3x3~5x5 splash range and 0.5 sec after cast delay
  • Warg Dash had its SP cost increased to 20
  • Casting Falcon Assault and Blitz Beat now correctly cancels Camouflage
  • Upcoming: Aimed Bolt will work on all immobilization statuses, not just the ones applied from Hunter/Ranger skills.

Rebel

  • Can now reach level 175/60, including custom Job Level stat bonuses and ability to raise a stat to 130
  • Can wear all Transcendent-only gear and Temporal Boots
  • Ground Drift updated to work with new grenade spheres, has 5x5 area, does 50% ATK damage per skill level, properly benefits from ranged damage % effects and is no longer blocked by Auto Guard/Parrying and reduced by Defender, Wall of Fog, and Smoke Powder
  • Hammer of God has updated animation and deals additional damage from coins to all targets in area
  • Howling Mine inflicts Burning on detonation to all affected targets
  • Flicker reveals hidden targets in 5x5 area
  • Dust no longer reduced by Defender, blocked by Pneuma, reflected by Shield Reflect and item effects, and now properly benefits from ranged damage % and blocked by Safety Wall
  • Blind Trap no longer boosted by Lex Aeterna and can't be attacked
  • Crimson Marker now reduces FLEE by 10% and movement speed decrease no longer works on boss-flagged mobs
  • Fallen Angel no longer works without the correct amount of bullets equipped
  • Fire Rain has had its damage formula corrected
  • Quick Draw Shot has had its damage formula corrected
  • Round Trip has had its damage formula corrected
  • Heat Barrel has been visually updated, and its rebound state is now signaled by an emotion
  • Eternal Chain has been visually updated

Sorcerer

  • Abracadabra changed to include various new MVPs such as Leak and Boitata.
  • Spellfist has status icon.
  • Insignias increase both physical and magical damage dealt and have status icons.
  • Memorize has status icon.
  • Wall of Fog has status icon.
  • Dragonology now grants correct bonuses
  • Elemental Spirits Changes
    • Elemental Spirits were improved stat wise
    • Elemental Action skills deal increased damage and inflict status effects.
    • Level 1 Passive Mode correctly increases damage of Bolt skills and Spellfist
    • Elemental Spirit and Insignia buffs are no longer removed by Clearance
    • Elemental Spirits no longer disappear when entering a portal in Bifrost Tower and other similar maps

Soul Linker

  • Kaahi now has a proper timer between heals, heal is now done before damage happens, and heals are no longer randomly lost

Super Novice

  • They can now reach level 175/60, this includes custom Job Level stat bonuses and the ability to raise a stat to 130, just like normal classes.
  • Extended Super Novice received max SP boosts at level 99 and level 150

Sura

  • All Gentle Touch skills renamed to Pressure Point.
  • Flash Combo once again disables item usage while active and has status icon.
  • Ride the Lightning has the original damage formula (scales with DEX) and cast time removed.
  • Fury has status icon.
  • Gate of Hell has had damage formula corrected and no longer benefits from ranged damage % benefits.
  • Snap has had click range corrected
  • Knuckle Arrow now flings arrow to opposite direction
  • Ki Translation and Power Velocity no longer consume spirit spheres upon a failed cast (targeting a Gunslinger or someone with maximum amount of spheres for example)
  • Flash Combo now has proper timers between skills and caster can no longer use items or move during the execution
  • Tiger Cannon now deals full damage from combo to all targets in area and not just one
  • Chain Combo had its damage formula corrected
  • Combo Finish had its damage formula corrected
  • Absorb Spirit Spheres and Assimilate Power no longer incorrectly remove Kagerou/Oboro's charms

Game Mechanics

Player

  • Status Effect immunity and resistance caps have been changed to promote usage of pre-Renewal statuses. You can now only gain a maximum of 90% resistance to a Status Effect such as Stun. To reach this cap you must have a total value of 120 in the stat required to resist it.
